A reputable four star hotel located in the Volta regional capital, Ho is inviting applications from suitably qualified and highly motivated professionals to fill the following managerial positions: Internal Auditor
Responsibilities
• Set up the company’s internal audit function in line with best practice standards
• Identity and reduce all business and functional risks through effective implementation and monitoring of internal controls.
• Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
• Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
• Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
• Perform ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks or fraud and promote
• Identity loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
• Maintain open communication with management and external auditors
• Identify the financial risk of the company and offer recommendations to reduce risk identify accounting and financial record keeping processes that can be improved.
• Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management interventions
• Monitor the company’s compliance with statutory, legal and regulatory standards and guidelines and best practice.
Qualification Required & Experience
Requirements:
• Must have a degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognised university. A master’s degree in a similar field would be an added advantage
• Minimum of five (5) years work experience in auditing
• Must have professional qualification (ICA or ACCA) and be a member of a recognised professional body
• Should have analytical and problem solving skills
• Should be a self-starter and able to work without supervision.
• Knowledge in the use of Hotel Management Software or systems will be an added advantage
• Experience in a hospitality industry will be an added advantage
